2016 marked the fifth annual KONEKTE group trip to Haiti. A group of 25 enthusiastic, hard working and warm hearted adults and high school students spent 9 days in the community of Ganthier strengthening our ties with the community. We worked on the construction of new classrooms at College Mixte Marius Carnold, painted a beautiful mural on the school perimeter wall, spent a day with 30 boys from a local orphanage on a field trip to the National Museum followed by lunch and games in the park, organized and participated in the fifth annual KONEKTE soccer tournament, spent time with English language students at Men Nan Men vocational school and had fun getting to know local children through art projects, music and games.
